Strongtalk in Debian
So I saw a post about Strongtalk on reddit, it’s a Samlltalk implementation recently open sourced by Sun. Too bad it only runs on Windows, but the website said they are going ports to Linux in the future. So I figure I tried it using wine, and it’s working pretty well. Using Coinstar to get a gift card
Now you could use Coinstar to count change without paying their fee if you turn it into a gift card. I guess I will be bringing my piggy bank to Albertson this weekend.

A great summary on Flow

mysql5 for fedora core 4
Had to upgrade the mysql for a FC4 machine at work, after a month of searching; finally found out that devel has them at mysql-5.0.18-1.i386.rpm. But then when I tried upgrading it breaks my dependencies. Doh!.
And then I found this French site, Les RPM de Remi that has rpms that are compatible with base. Nice, now I got the Linux box with php5 and mysql5 after much frustraction. It’s much easier to do it with Debian… at least I don’t have to worry about the dependency hell, but what the heck..work is work.

Pretty interesting take on interviewing
A pretty interesting take on interviewing for your next job. A bunch of tips that I haven’t thought of, but the main point is being confident in your abilities. I think that’s the problem with me during interviews, i.e. being nervous when I really don’t have to be.
In domains I am not comfortable with I try to answer as confidently as possible which normally makes them hunt elsewhere for my weakness.

Performancing for Firefox
Just install Performancing for Firefox, Wow, this is such a great extension. Time to uninstall BlogThis!, JustBlogIt, and my wordpress bookmarklets.
It has this split screen and makes blogging really easy. I even prefer this over that of Flock, since it’s feel lighter and easier to use.
