CNN Money has the details on the inversion that might make this a memorable year
The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury fell below that of two-year notes early Tuesday, inverting the yield curve for the first time since December 2000. At 6:23 am ET. the 10-year note yielded 4.393 percent while the two-year note yielded 4.396 percent.
It is debatable if we are heading for a recession, but I think it means that the Fed doesn’t have control, if they ever had any, on the way it could influence the economy. Besides with the new chairman replacing Greenspan, we will see a whole lot of volatility in the coming months. It’s going to be a lot of “wait and see” next year.
The Mercury News has the predictions for next year Top 10 tech trends for 2006, The emphasis is on video, I wonder if they have been watching too much TV or that they think the Ipod Video is a leading indicator. Looking back at the previous few year, my prediction is that 2006 wouldn’t be that exciting. It will be incubation period for something new and nothing truly exciting will happen.
All the money will be chasing stuff that’s already been done or are already planned. 2005 seems to be a good year will all kind of stuff coming together, but it really is the work for the past few years that has fuel all the tech “burst”. So when the market catch up with the tech, all kinda things will happen. I just don’t think 2006 would be enough time for the money to catch up with the tech.
I am not trying to sound pessimistic, since a lot of cool things will be happening..it just that we won’t see if in all its glory for a few years.

It has this split screen and makes blogging really easy. I even prefer this over that of Flock, since it’s feel lighter and easier to use.
